Spun With Love- Our First Look

We knew early on in our wedding planning that we wanted to have a first look. Not only did our first look give us tons of time to take pics with our family, wedding party, and each other it was also a wonderful moment for the two of us to share.

Before our first look I was so giddy and excited to finally see Mr. CC and huge him and share the moments leading up to our wedding ceremony together. When I saw him on the lawn of the city library all I wanted to do was bum rush him and wrap him up in a big bear hug! Thankfully I listened to our photog Heidi and took it slow give her enough time to capture some of my favorite moments of our whole wedding day.

Doesn't he look so handsome? LOVE this man!Seriously could my smile get any bigger? My cheeks hurt just looking at this pic!

I was so excited to finally get to show of my dress to Mr. CC! I had the teeny tiniest feeling that he might not like the poofy and fluffiness of my dress. As you can see in the pic above he very much approved!

So giddy to finally be together on our wedding day!

This pic says it all. I couldn't have been more happier in that one moment on that perfectly imperfect day. After all the sadness and stress leading up to our wedding day we were finally together, hours away from finally being man and wife.

Up next we're reunited with our family and friends and one of the best wedding decisions we made!

Spun With Love- Its The Boy's Turn!

While us ladies were busy primping the boys were across town and Mister CC step dads house doing what they do best...

Drinking beer!...J/K Don't you just hate how it takes them 2 minutes to look cute? Seriously I think it took the groomsmen all of 5 minutes to get dressed that morning wich left plenty of time for them to indulge in some adult beverages.

Thankfully Mr. CC took a tad bit longer then his GM and waited for our second shooter to arrive before getting his suave on.

I had made sure to give brother CC a card to deliver to Mr CC the morning of our wedding. I had been holding onto this card for over a year and was super excited to finally get the chance to give it to him!

With Mr CC ready the boys were ready to head out for our first look!

Spun With Love- We Get Pretty!

Its Cotton Candy recap time!

A peek at whats to come!

I originally planned to kick off my recap with a rundown of all the madness leading up to our big day including the late night hours spent wiring a million and one pom poms to our giant wreathe and my bridezilla moment at the bank after they informed my debit card was cancelled and I couldn’t take out any money but really who wants to read that? So I decided to just jump in feet first with all the day of goodies hope you enjoy!

On the morning of our wedding day I woke up in bridesmaid S's guest bed to the quiet noise of her husband cooking a delicious breakfast for us and the rest of my ladies, a beautiful So Cal sunny day and an amazing inner calm. After 10 year the Mister and I were finally making it official, in a few short hours we would finally be man and wife and I vowed to savor every moment!

The morning with my girls getting pretty and eating yummy food and drinking champagne was the perfect start to the perfect day. I felt so calm and giddy after a year of planning I was finally getting the chance to put on my beloved dress and walk down the aisle.

Once our photog Heidi arrived it was go time! The girls slipped into their dresses and cardi's (a last minute addition organized by BM S and SD...thanks girls!)

Isn't my mom cute? Love her.

All my accessories that I agonized over were laid out and waiting for me-

And finally it was time to slip into The Dress-

I L-O-V-E loved my dress it was so swish and bridal I found myself playing with the skirt all day and evening!

A quick time check and we were ready!

Up next the boys clean up nice!

Its Official!

We’re baaaaack! Its official the Cotton Candies are officially man and wife!

Our wedding was the most amazing loved filled we could have ever asked for. As expected we had a few minor hiccups (ahem 8 non RSVP’ed guests) but looking back all I remember is the rush of joy I felt as crept up to meet Mr CC during our first look.

Im so excited to share our wedding day with you, we won’t get our pro pics back for a couple more weeks so until then though I have a couple more post lined up to share with you. Including a post on Mr CC special DIY project that you won’t believe!

Oh Yea its happening!

Hive,

Its that time, finally after over a year of planning 10 years of dating and 100 of yarn poms later we are finally ready to walk down that aisle and make it official! The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of activity and unexpected roadblocks and I'll admit some tears have been shed (at Bank of America no less) but I'm ready to finally get this show in the road.

Words cannot express my gratitude to you all and this wonderful community. I'm honored and humbled to call myself a member of such a supportive and creative group of woman and our wedding would not be the same with out all of your wonderful comments and support.

To the man I love, because I know you read this blog, I big puffy pom pom heart love you. Your the one person in this world who knows gets me and all my little quirks. When I said lets make a 3 foot size wreath entirely of pom poms you didn't ask me if I was crazy instead you said ok and ask how you could help. Its that undying support that has made this whole wedding process easy. Thank you for being my best friend and shoulder to cry on and for always supporting me regardless of how crazy the idea. After 10 years I cannot wait to finally walk down the aisle and officially get to my husband. I love you Misters.

Its Coming!

Its wedding week in the Cotton Candy house! As I type brother CC and SIL CC are sitting out in our living room cranking out pom poms for our giant pom wreath, I just got the second phone call from our DJ asking for our music list and my hands are covered in gocco ink from our favors. It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us but we are sooo ready to get this show on the road and finally be able to call each other Husband and Wife.

Project are quickly being completed and the one project I was so excited to see finished also happened to be the one I had absolutely no control over. Remember way back when I shared with you my love of all things chair well I finally figured out how to bring that love into our day. I happened to have 2 matching Louis style chairs in my collection so we decided to have them reupholster in coordinating fabrics and voila fancy shmancy bride and groom chairs. Our upholsterer delivered the chairs and the look beautiful.

To finish of the look I threw together matching glitter banners and our chairs are complete.

With that all of our big projects are complete and everything else is just icing on the cake!

June brides how are you projects coming along?

Un-Bear-ably Cute!

Awhile back I shared with you my idea to top our cake with miniature Eames chairs to represent my obsession with chairs and our love of mid-century design. Since Mr CC refused to have associate his likeness to something as large as a chair I hit the internet again in hopes of finding a cake topper that represented us as a couple and was a little quirky.

Since the cake topper was such a small element in our wedding I wanted to keep the overall cost low at under 50 bucks. This meant that my 2nd favorite cake topper, sweet little love birds from Anne Wood were out of the question.

Cake Topper by Ann Wood Via BHLDN

After some searching we ended up with this one of a kind cake topper from Etsy artist Melabo.

Yes those are bear heads on the bride and grooms body and yes I am completely and totally in love with it.

You’re probably wondering what in the heck bears have to d with the Cotton Candies. My first name happens to be Veronica. When spoken by native Spanish speakers the can sound like a B making my name sound like Bear-onica. This tickles Mr. CC to no end to the point in which he has shorten my name to just Bear.

As for what it’ll actually be topping, we’ve ordered a small 6 inch double stack round cake with a smooth butter cream finish from our baker. Perfectly simple and exactly what we wanted. For our guest we’ve ordered 8 dozen cupcakes in various flavors including red velvet, pina colada, and lemon poppy seed.

What are you ladies topping your cake with?
